Outline (in English)
【授業の概要（Course outline）】
This class aims to gain basic understanding of the history of social studies and civic education, the goals and contents in the National Courses of Study, and teaching materials research and learning methods. Also, based on this knowledge and skills, the class further discusses how to develop lesson plans and actually designs them.
【到達目標（Learning Objectives）】
Students are able to design lesson plans on the basis of understanding the goals and contents of social studies and civic education as well as learning theories, for building competencies required as a junior and high school social studies and civic education teacher.
【授業時間外の学習（Learning activities outside of classroom）】
Students will be expected to read the text and materials, prepare a presentation, research teaching materials and write a lesson plan. Your required study time is at least four hour for each class meeting.
【成績評価の方法と基準（Grading Criteria/Policy）】
Grading will be decided based on in class contribution(30%), assignments and presentations(50%) and term-end examination(20%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
社会・公民科教育では、「公民としての資質・能力」の育成をめざして、いかに授業を効果的にデザインしていけばよいかが問われている。本授業では、中学社会科（公民分野）及び高校公民科の歴史、学習指導要領に示された目標や内容、教材研究や学習指導の方法、ICTの活用などについての基本的な事項を理解するとともに、それらの知識・技能に基づいて、学習指導案の作成を行う。
到達目標Goal
中学社会科（公民分野）及び高校公民科の教員として要求される資質・能力の育成をめざし、教育の目標や内容を理解し、学習指導理論を踏まえて学習指導案を作成することができる。

対面で授業を実施し（初回はオンライン）、授業支援システムを活用する。社会・公民科教育法⑴では、中学社会科（公民分野）及び高校公民科を指導するにあたっての基礎的な事項について学ぶとともに、それらの知識・技能をもとに資質・能力を育成するための単元指導計画を作成する。授業のなかで課題についてのフィードバックを行う。

授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
授業の準備として、文献や資料などを読み、課された課題を行う。また、個人やグループで教材研究や学習指導案の作成を行う。本授業の準備・復習時間は、各２時間を標準とする。

和井田清司他編『中等社会科100テーマ』三恵社、2019年。その他、授業において指示をする。
