Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
This course introduces the methods for researching early modern novels to students taking this course.
(Learning Objectives)
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
(1) Be able to acquire knowledge about works and artists.
(2) Appropriate annotations can be made to the text of the work.
(3) Be able to ask and analyze questions about the work.
(4) Be able to logically explain one's own opinions and interpretations.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapter from the text. Your required study time is at least two hours for each class meeting.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Grading will be based on in-class presentations (50%), reports (40%), and attendance (10%).
