Outline (in English)
【授業概要（Course outline）】
The objective of this course is to provide students with the tools to analyze business strategies and activities using accounting information. Through the process of preparing financial statements, students will gain an understanding of how a company's activities are reflected in its financial statements. In addition, by learning the methods of analyzing published accounting information, students will be able to draw conclusions about the true condition of an entity. The course is designed to provide students with a fundamental knowledge of financial accounting and its use from both perspectives.
【到達目標（Learning Objectives）】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
1) To understand the financial reporting process
2) To understand how financial statements reflect the strategies and actions of an organization.
3) To demonstrate an understanding of how to prepare and analyze financial reports. Use financial statements to infer an organization's strategies and actions.
【授業時間外の学習（Learning activities outside of classroom）】
After each class meeting, students are expected to have completed the required assignments. The study time required for each class is more than four hours.
【成績評価の方法と基準（Grading Criteria /Policies）】
The final grade will be determined based on the term-end examination (80%) and in-class contribution (20%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
本講義は、会計情報を活用して、企業の戦略や行動を分析する手法と、それを支える財務諸表に関する知識の習得を目的とする。財務諸表を作成するプロセスを学ぶことで、企業の活動がどのように財務諸表に反映されているかを理解する。また、公表された会計情報を分析する手法を学ぶことで、企業の実態をどのように推論するかを理解する。これら双方の視点から、財務会計の基礎知識と活用方法の習得を目指す。
到達目標Goal
1．財務諸表を作成するプロセスを理解することができる。
2．企業の戦略や行動が財務諸表にどのように表れるかを読み解く力を習得する。
3．財務諸表に基づいて、企業の戦略や行動を推論する力を習得する。

本講義はPowerPointあるいはレジュメに基づいて講義形式で進める。講義資料は配付、あるいは「学習支援システム」を通じて掲出する。ワークシートを用いて実際に計算することも予定している。
また、「学習支援システム」上でアンケートを実施して、感想や質問を提出してもらうことを予定している。建設的な質問やコメントは授業内で紹介してさらなる議論に活かす。また、課題に対する講評も授業内で行う予定である。

貸借対照表の構造と「資産」の認識・測定・開示の方法について学ぶ。

「負債」の認識・測定・開示の方法について学ぶ。

「純資産（資本）」の認識・測定・開示の方法について学ぶ。
第6回[対面/face to face]：損益計算書（1）
損益計算書の構造と「収益」の認識・測定・開示の方法について学ぶ。

「費用」の認識・測定・開示の方法について学ぶ。

キャッシュフロー計算書の構造と項目について学ぶ。

授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
事前学習として、「簿記」や「会計学」の基本的知識があると本講義の理解も深まる。もし未履修の場合には、日商簿記検定3級の内容を学んでおくことを薦める。
なお、本講義の準備学習・復習時間は、各 2 時間を標準とする。
