Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The purpose of this course is to master basic principles, procedures, and research methods in applied behavior analysis. Focus will be placed on knowledge and skills in applying basic concepts of learning to interpret behavioral phenomena in real-world settings.

【Learning Objectives】
At the end of the course, students should be able to give a lecture on the followings:
1) the basic terminology and concepts in behavior analysis, 2) single-case research design, and 3) research and practices in a specific area of interest.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to 1) read the textbook and take quizzes, 2) read research papers, 3) prepare for final presentation, and 4) give the final presentation. 5 hours of study per week is expected.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Final grade in this class will be decided based on the following: 1) test scores (40%), 2) tasks (40%), and the final presentation (20%).
