Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
In this course, students will acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to write high-quality psychology-related academic papers in English.

[Learning objectives]
1. To understand the process of writing an academic paper, from planning to journal submission, review, and acceptance.
2. To grasp the characteristics of English papers via comparison with Japanese papers.
3. To develop practical skills in writing publishable quality papers in English.
4. To enhance the repertoire of English expressions and phraseology appropriate for academic papers.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
The standard study time required before and after each class is 4 hours total. Students should work on assigned homework and be ready to present their work in the next class.

[Grading criteria / policy]
Grades will be based on class attendance and participation (40%) and homework (60%).
