Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
To help students develop a high-quality research program in psychology, students in this course will carry out a research study according to their plan, and present their findings through oral presentations and a research paper.
[Learning objectives]
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the following:
1. Carry out a research study in accordance with the research plan.
2. Give an oral presentation and write an academic paper that effectively communicates the research goals and findings.
[Learning activities outside of classroom]
Students will set appropriate goals and strive to achieve those goals by the next class meeting. Presentation materials should be prepared as needed. For each class, students will be expected to spend at least four hours outside of class to make progress in their research.
[Grading criteria/policy]
Your overall grade will be determined based on the following: in-class contribution 25%, progress report 25%, presentation 50%. As a rule, if you are absent for more than 4 classes without a legitimate reason or fail to present in class, course credit will not be granted
