Outline (in English)

(Course outline) The aim of this course is to help students deepen their understanding of the good life for man (the life of happiness) by careful reading of Aristotle’s Nicomachean Ethics.
(Learning Objectives) The goals of this course are to read the Greek text strictly, and to understand correctly Aristotle’s thinking on ethical questions.
(Learning activities outside of classroom) Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
(Grading Criteria /Policy) Final grade will be calculated according to the following process. Reading the Greek text (70%) and in-class contribution (30%).
