Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The purpose of this course is to learn the thought of Jacques Derrida.
【Learning Objectives】
Especially at the end of this course, students are expected to a good comprehension of one of his works :"Freud et la scène de l'écriture"(in L'écriture et la différence,1967). That is mainly by the reading of original French text of this work.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapter from the text. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
【Grading Criteria】
Your overall grade in the class will be based on the following.
Translation in each class meeting:50 % and presentation at the end of this course:50%.
