Outline (in English)
We read La Découverte du quotidien by French philosopher and novelist Bruce Bégout. Philosophy has long excluded the question of "daily life" from consideration. The work examines the hidden nature of everydayness, mainly from a phenomenological perspective. The author rescues the essence of "daily life" from negative images such as banality, boredom, or Verfallenheit, and in criticizing the naive praise of daily life, he attempts to elucidate its temporality as a dynamic and creative process. Through a close reading, we try to understand the fundamental temporality of our lives.
Evaluation is based on class presentation and participation (70%) and end-of-term reports (30%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
フランスの哲学者、小説家であるブリュス・ベグーのLa Découverte du quotidien (2005)を読む。哲学は長い間「日常」を考察から排除してきた。同書はその理由を問いながら、主に現象学的な観点から、日常性の隠された本質を分析する。著者は、平凡、退屈、頽落といった否定的イメージから「日常」の本質を救い出し、かつ単純な日常賛美も批判しつつ、動的で創造的な過程としての日常的時間性を解明しようとする。同書の精読を通じて、私たちの生活の根本的な時間性について理解を深めることが授業目的である。

・レポートや発表を通じて、学んだ知見を適切な形で報告・論述できるようになる。
