Outline (in English)

Course outline
In our society, many people are employed to work and earn wages to make a living. However, because workers are less powerful than employers, they face various difficulties if appropriate laws and regulations are not in place. Labor law is a field of law that prevents these difficulties and imposes various regulations so that people can live like human beings.
Labor Union Law deals with the basic part of labor law that relates to collective labor law. It is desirable for students to have taken General Labor Law, Labor Contract Law, and Labor Standards Law.

Learning Objectives
(1) Acquire basic knowledge of collective labor laws.
(2) To be able to explain the structure of labor laws to those who are not familiar with collective labor laws and provide guidelines for solving problems in the workplace.

Learning activities outside of classroom
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 4 hours each.

Grading Criteria /Policy
A quiz will be given to measure achievement goal (1), and a final exam will be given to measure achievement goal (2).
