Outline (in English)

This course aims to provide an overview of the history of the English language from Old English to Present-day English. This course also helps students understand the linguistic change in English as well as its social and cultural change by introducing literature and multimedia.
 The goal of this course is to give students the basic knowledge to understand the history of the English language.
 Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
 Final grade will be calculated according to the following process Mid-term report (20%), term -end examination (40%), and in-class contribution (40%).
