Outline (in English)
Course Outline: This course is an interactive lecture about the issues of Japanese language studies.
Learning Objectives: The goal is to focus on the Japanese language as the basic element of literary works, in order to propose theories about it from a variety of perspectives and with no limit as to historical period; this semester deals with works of the early modern to contemporary periods. By doing so, students acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for writing their graduation thesis.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: In addition to using the library for study, students should visit the instructor's office for consultation if needed. As preparation and review of each class, students will be expected to spend about 2 hours to understand the course content.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: short oral presentations (30%); in-class contribution (20%); and written reports (50%).

この授業では、近世・近代・現代における日本の文学作品について、言語学的に考え、正しく解釈する方法を学ぶことを目的にします。
到達目標Goal
文学作品を成り立たせている日本語そのものを研究対象にして、時代を問わず、様々な視点から自分なりの論を立てられるようになるための授業です。卒業論文の作成に役立つ知識やスキルを身につけることが、到達目標です。

まず、文学作品の言語表現の問題点について説明します。それから受講生全員に共通の課題を出し、次の授業で一人ずつ全員に報告してもらい、質疑応答を行います。そして、節目節目でレポートを提出する形で進めます。提出されたレポートは次の時間に紹介し、質問にも答えます。
