Outline (in English)

Course outline: This course introduces philosophies of language since the beginning of 20th century.
Learning Objectives: To acquire a deeper understanding of nature and functions of language and to learn more about methods of analytical philosophy.
Learning activities outside of classroom: After each class meeting, students are expected to spend four hours to understand the content and to write a short paper concerning the subject.
Grading Criteria: short reports: 70%, term-end report: 30%
