Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
While using a personal computer, In this course, we will learn how to conceptualize and express architecture using graphics and images. This is an "combination on-demand class". On-demand explanations and assignments will be presented, and critiques and supplementary explanations will be given in-person classes or online classes.Class schedule and access information will be posted on hoppii (learning support system).

[Learning objectives]
We observe three-dimensional forms (architecture) as two-dimensional figures (drawings). In this class, we will construct three-dimensional forms on the computer and represent them as two-dimensional figures. This course aims to master graphic processing and image processing techniques for creating three-dimensional forms on the computer and expressing them as images, animations, and drawings.

In the course, students learn computer graphics (CG), building information modeling (BIM), computer-aided design (CAD), and other technologies. Computer-aided drawing has recently become a popular alternative to hand-drawn figures. However, hand-drawing or CG/BIM/CAD is only a difference in technique. You may find the method that suits your style, but it is necessary to learn both. Therefore, this course links to "Design Studio 1.
