Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
To study Newtonian mechanics, which is the basis for practicing engineering. Students will understand how to describe the motion of objects, the basic laws of mechanics, and solve the equations of motion. Concepts such as force diagramming, equilibrium of forces, masses, and rigid bodies, which are important for understanding the mechanics of construction, will also be explained.
【Learning Objectives】
Develop basic academic skills to take structural courses in specialized subjects.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students will review the content of the previous lectures on the board and work on exercises.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Grading will be based on the following distribution: 25% for exercises, 25% for the first mid-term exam, 25% for the second mid-term exam, and 25% for the third mid-term exam.
