Outline (in English)

(Course outline)In this class, we consider the role of teachers to work effectively in the various aspects involved in student guidance for life coaching, counseling, career education, developmental disabilities, or else. On the other hand, to fulfill such a role, we mention on teachers’ self-understanding and self-growth.(Learning Objectives)(1) to explain basic concepts about the significance and role of student guidance, (2) to understand the role of teachers and their strategies to be played through activities such as school counseling, career education, and life guidance, and to express their own ideas in concrete terms, (3) to deepen understanding of how to understand students and propose their own ingenuity and ideas, (4) to describe what the establishment of adolescents’ self is in relation to school counseling, career education, and life guidance, and to apply it to self-understanding and self-growth, (5) to outline developmental disorders such as ASD and ADHD, and devise countermeasures for such developmental disorders. (Learning activities outside of classroom) Students will be expected to prepare to report or to discuss about the theme of each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class. (Grading Criteria /Policy) Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following. In class contribution: 20%, Presentation 40%, Short reports: 40%.
