Outline (in English)
We read Georges Bataille's late works on mysticism. While paying attention to the differences between his late philosophy and the existentialism of his time, we consider how Bataille tried to defend the solitude and plurality of "experience".
At the end of the course, students are expected to get a certain level of understanding of the basic issues in Bataille’s mysticism and its difference from the existentialism.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Evaluation is based on class presentation and participation (70%) and end-of-term reports (30%).

ジョルジュ・バタイユの戦後の神秘主義関連の論考を読む。後期バタイユ思想と実存主義との差異に注意しながら、バタイユが「経験」の孤独と複数性をいかに同時に擁護しようとしたかについて考える。
到達目標Goal
・バタイユの後期思想と実存主義との差異を理解したうえで、彼の神秘主義の争点について一定程度の水準で哲学的に分析できるようになる。
・レポートや発表を通じて、学んだ知見を適切な形で報告・論述できるようになる。
