Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
After understanding placing by the nonprofit sector in modern society, organize the current situation and issues on non-profit organizations. Then, focus on NPO which is private nonprofit organization on it and organize the role in solving public issues. In addition, we will deepen our consideration of the coproduction between NPOs and the government for resolving regional issues, and the companies also consider about coproduction between NPOs and enterprises.
[Learning Objectives]
The goals of this course are to understand the position of the non-profit sector in modern society and basic knowledge about private non-profit organizations (NPOs),to understand the importance of NPO management and business management in resolving regional issues and the key points to be considered in practice,to understand the activities of private non-profit organizations and the current status and issues of collaboration with other sectors (local government, private sector) in resolving regional issues, and to summarize the directions for resolving these issues.
[Learning activities outside of classroom]
In each class, we plan to make presentations (themes related to regional problem solving and private non-profit organizations) and Q & A sessions, so the reporter should prepare in advance, such as creating a report.
[Grading Criteria]
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process participation in exercises, discussions (50%), presentations and questions and answers (30%), final report (20%).
