Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
We will grasp the mechanism and the design philosophy of the internet roughly and discuss its role in real society.
(Learning Objectives)
- To understand the general framework of how computer networks work.
- To develop an understanding of the characteristics and understanding of information circulating in virtual space.
In addition to accumulating knowledge, the course aims to encourage students to think and discuss logically about the use and social aspects of their own networks and related information technologies.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
You will need to do some independent study (revision) to make up for any difficulties you have in understanding the lecture content.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Grading will be decided based on Assignments and mid-term reports (30%), in-class contribution(20%), and term-end report (50%).
