Outline (in English)

Bioethics has developed into today's form from the background of inhumane human experiments in the middle of the 20th century. Taking into account such historical human rights issues, we learn in this class the four principles of bioethics (respect for autonomy, beneficence, nonmaleficence, justice) and three concepts of consent (informed consent, informed ascent, proxy consent). At that time, we will watch medical dramas related to the lecture contents and deepen our understanding of bioethical concepts and human rights issues. This course is suitable for legal education, such as those listed in the Culture, Society, and Law Course. It also belongs to the course of an Administration, Public Policy, and Law.
