Outline (in English)
The overall objectives for this Speaking Communication course will be three fold. 1. To have each student develop a strong command of everyday communicative English. This means to go beyond the average and limited level of conversation textbook English and be able to hold an above-average ability of communication with a potential native speaker. This can be achieved if students train seriously during class every week and competently do their homework daily. 2. To have each student develop a strong level of clear and understandable pronunciation through accent reduction by also seriously training during class and outside of class. 3. To better understand the global world and foreign customs which are different from their own.

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
80% in class training, 20% final examination.
So this means that attending and training in class is vitally important in order to receive a passing grade. Please do not be chronically absent if you hope to pass this course.
*Student Classroom Evaluation; All students will be evaluated weekly in class for overall classroom work and interaction. Non-active participation or sleeping in class is not allowed and will seriously hurt final grade evaluation. Attendance is also very important in order to receive a passing grade. You must attend class every week and be active in training.
