到達目標Goal

授業の進め方と方法Method(s)(学期の途中で変更になる場合には、別途提示します。 /If the Method(s) is changed, we will announce the details of any changes. )
We will work weekly through textbook exercises and other material given through handouts. I want students to practice especially hard on improving grammar, writing stylistics, and clear, concise sentence structure. I have a number of classroom team writing projects that should also interest and help motivate the students to reach our goals. Feedback will be given in class by the teacher with writing exercises and outside of class on writing work. I will correct every paper and return them to the students. A detailed blackboard explanation will be offered to the class to help them understand various errors and target points to become more proficient writers.
Every student should come to class with an open mind and goal to learn to develop more concrete skills that will eventually turn into better writing ability as the semester goes on.

第1回:Introduction.
"Goals and rules of the class"
I would like you to read and do UNIT 1 of ENJOYING COLLEGE LIFE - pages 1 and 2. You can write in your book, but use a pencil not an ink pen. Also, I would like you to write a Self-Introduction essay. Tell me about yourself. You can write in pencil or type 1 A-4 side. I don't care how long it is. Just tell me all about yourself. *Please keep your essay in a plastic folder and I will collect them when we eventually meet.
第2回:Writing Skills: "How to begin English writing"
Continue on Unit 1 of our book and do pages 3 and 4. Be sure to write in your book and use a pencil, not ink. Don't worry about the answers because I will give them to you every week either on-line or after in our classroom. I also would like you to write a second essay telling me about your High School Days. There is no limit on how many words you can write, but just be specific and explain how you liked or disliked high school. You can also write about some interesting things that happened. *Again, please keep your essay in a plastic folder and I will collect it in time.
第3回:Writing Skill: "Starting point- on the runway"
This week, I want you to try writing a longer essay about what you have been doing during this past Holiday during the COVID-19 Breakout. If you stayed at home inside, how did you pass the time? * Again, please keep your essay in a plastic folder for me to collect at a later date.

Begin by going to UNIT-2 in our book. Do the exercises on pages 5 through 6. It is a fun chapter, so maybe all of you will enjoy it. Do NOT use ink, but a pencil. I strongly recommend looking at English Writing material from the University of Michigan and Georgetown University ESL Programs. Also, I highly recommend reading anything that you can on the Kunihiro Masao Methodology.

*Student Classroom Evaluation; All students will be evaluated weekly in class for overall classroom work and interaction. Non-active participation or sleeping in class is not allowed and will seriously hurt final grade evaluation. Attendance is also very important in order to receive a passing grade. You must attend class every week and be active in training. Please do not be worried. If you come to class and just try your best, you will succeed.
