Outline (in English)

【授業の概要(Course outline)】Civil Society (NGO) is an actor which constitutes society along with Politics (Government) and Economy(Enterprises). Students will understand the social issues and the role of civil society, as well as contemplate their own role in the society.
【到達目標(Learning Objectives)】
1 To understand the global issues of the world and their relations.
2 To undrstand the history and the present situation of the civil society and NGOs.
3 To cultivate the citizenship and acquire the methodology.
【授業時間外の学習(Learning activities outside of classroom)】
Prepare the class by skimming through the materials provided.
After the class, take time to write a relfection paper. Try relating what you learned in the class to your previous knowledge and experiences.
【成績評価の方法と基準(Grading Criteria /Policy)】
Active participation to the class and thoughtful refection is important.
Reflection report after every class 60% Term-end report 40%
