Outline (in English)
Course Outline: The lecture introduces the history of the Japanese language. We will use several handouts to be distributed in class.
Learning Objectives: Students deepen their understanding of Japanese (past, present, and future).
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: Use the library and read as many books related to the history of Japanese as you can. As preparation and review of the class, students will be expected to spend about 2 hours to understand the course content.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: short report at each class meeting (50%); long report at the last class meeting (50%).

日本語の歴史について様々な面から、ある時は広く浅く、ある時は狭く深く学びます。

日本語の「過去・現在・未来」について、理解を深めます。

プリントやビデオ等を使用して、日本語の歴史に関する知識を修得します。毎時間、100～200字程度の小レポートを授業中に提出してもらい、次の時間に紹介します。なお、受講者数が確定した段階で、座席を指定する予定です。
