Outline (in English)

Course outline
The primary objective of this class is to develop students' listening skills and to improve abilities in practical conversations when travelling.

Learning Objectives
Students will develop the ability to effectively express their knowledge and opinions, both orally and in writing, on a variety of topics in daily life and contemporary society. Students will practice writing logically structured paragraphs and will eventually be able to write short reports consisting of multiple paragraphs.
 Students will also practice giving presentations, speeches, and discussions on topics of interest to them, depending on their level. Listening skills will also be developed as part of the class.

Learning activities outside of classroom
The standard preparation and review time for this class is one hour.
Please use the NHK language course, make a vocabulary book, check words and phrases, etc.

Grading Criteria/Policy
Final exam 60% 
Quiz: 10%. 
Report assignment and remarks: 20%.
Ordinary points 10%.
If you are going to be absent, you must submit a report of your absence.
Three tardies will count as one absence.
In principle, students who are absent more than 4 times per semester will not be allowed to earn credits.
