Outline (in English)

In this lecture, we will describe mental and physical health from a broad perspective, understanding factors detrimental to health and learning practical strategies to help people cope with psychosomatic problems. In addition, we will study support skills, learning the roles and challenges of psychologists and the theories and features of psychological supports applied in medical practice. The goals of this course are to understand the mechanism of psychosomatic problem and how to support the clients with psychosomatic problem. Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content. Grading will be decided based on term-end examination (80%) and in-class contribution (20%).
