(Course outline)
This course examines the events and issues occurring in modern agriculture and farming villages in relation to social changes such as "globalization," "evolution of technology," and "individualization."

(Learning Objectives)
The goals of this course are to understand various issues occurring in modern agriculture and farming villages from a sociological point of view and to gain a perspective to think about various social issues from agriculture and farming villages.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend two hours to understand the course content.

(Grading Criteria /Policies)
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process Mid-term report (30%), term-end report (60%), and in-class contribution.
