Outline (in English)

<Course outline>
This course encourages students to enhance their four English skills and mainly focuses on listening. They will learn and use vocabulary, grammar, and conversation phrases through pair or group work in order to give an opinion on familiar topics in English.

<Learning Objectives>
At the end of the course, students are expected to do the followings:
―they get used to English sounds and understand English conversations.
―with communication in mind, they acquire vocabulary, grammar, and conversation phrases.
―they get used to expressing their opinions about familiar topics in English.

<Learning activities outside of classroom>
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend about an hour to prepare for a class and review the course content.

<Grading Criteria Policies>
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process:
in-class contribution and a short examination (30%)
presentation activity (30%)
term-end examination (40%)
