Outline (in English)

Course Outline: The purpose of this course is to help future Japanese language teachers understand how to think about creating classes and to learn various methods of teaching.
Learning Objectives: Students will learn the knowledge and skills to promote reading comprehension abilities for thinking, judging and expressing in the subjects covered under kokugo (Japanese language). They will also need to make their own lesson plans and put them into practice.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Study time will be more than two hours for a class.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Final grades will be calculated according to the following process: class reflection report (40%), prep work for the next class (40%), and in-class contribution (20%).
