Outline (in English)

Course Outline: This course introduces modern media, and the methods and meaning of editing. As well as lectures, there will be workshops involving practice with various types of media.
Learning Objectives: In this class, students will be exposed to real media and exchange opinions with editors. Through group work and workshops, this course aims to think about how to deal with “information” and acquire the skills to handle it appropriately.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: There will be workshops and hands-on assignments within the classes. There will be time to work during class, but you may be asked to work outside of class for your presentation. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Class evaluation will consist of 70% for in-class assignments and 30% for the submission rate and content evaluation of reaction papers. In addition, students' participation in class will be taken into consideration and evaluated comprehensively.
