Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is to help students acquire an understanding of the history and the function of modern welfare state. By the end of the course, students are expected to understand the meaning and function of welfare in society. Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following; 1)short reports 40%, 2)term-end examination 60%.
