Outline (in English)

The aim of this course is to provide students with an overview of archaeology and its methods, and to understand its academic and historical development.
Students will be able to explain the process of academic development of archaeology, particularly in Japan, and the relationship between archaeology and related sciences.
The standard preparation and review time by students is 2 hours each.
The final grade will be calculated based on the final exam (70%) and normal score (30%).
