Outline (in English)
The lecture introduces the trajectory of China's economic growth from historical and macroeconomic perspectives, the pattern of the transition from a planned economy to a socialist market economy, and the facts and problems of the modern Chinese economy. introduces the determinants of the economic development in China from a microeconomic perspective, using many kinds of data (i.e., government official statistical data, academic survey data etc.). The topics’ targets focus on individuals, households, firms, and industry sectors. We also discuss some special issues on state-owned enterprise reform, enterprise innovation, industrial structural transformation, inequality issues such as income and social security inequality between rural and urban residents and understand the facts, issues and mechanisms in Chinese economy from a microeconomic perspective.We will explore the factors behind China's economic growth from multiple perspectives and institutional transitions comparing with the developed countries.
The goal is to comprehend the situations and issues in the Chinese economy from a macroeconomic and microeconomics perspective and to develop the academic capability to elucidate the features of the Chinese economy using economic theories and data from the Chinese government's statistical sources, as well as various academic surveys.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
本講義ではまずマクロ経済学の視点から中国経済成長の軌跡、計画経済から社会主義市場経済への体制移行のパターン、そして高度成長した現代中国経済の実態及び問題点を紹介する。次に労働者・家計、企業、産業などの具体的な課題について、さまざまなデータ（たとえば、中国政府公表の統計データ、実態調査データ）を活用し、国有企業改革、企業生産とイノベーション、産業集積と産業構造転換、格差問題(例えば、都市と農村間の所得格差と社会保障格差)などについて考察し、ミクロレベルで中国経済の実態と問題点を検討する。中国経済成長の要因を様々な側面から、理解してもらう。また先進国と比較し、中国経済の位置づけおよび中国経済成長の特徴を明確にする。
到達目標Goal
中国経済に関しては、マクロおよびミクロレベルの視点から、経済成長の実態および問題点を把握したうえで、自らが経済学の諸理論やモデルを適用して、中国政府統計データおよび様々な調査データを活用し、中国経済成長の要因および問題点を説明できる能力を身につけることを目標とする。

パワーポイント資料にもとづいて講義形式で行う。リアルタイムで実施。課題（レポート等）に対するフィードバックを行います。具体的には、授業の初めに、前回の授業で提出されたリアクションペーパーからいくつか取り上げ、全体に対してフィードバックを行い、また「学習支援システム」（Hoppii）を通じて行います。

第1回[オンライン/online]：世界経済からみた中国経済、歴史的視点からみた経済の成長
世界経済の現状を紹介し、中国経済の位置づけを理解する。また、科学技術発展史からみた経済発展の謎（ニーダム仮説）とマディソンの長期GDP 推計データからみた経済成長の軌跡を理解する。
第2回[オンライン/online]：社会主義時代の経済および経済改革
旧ソ連計画経済モデルと中国社会主義モデルの比較、国営企業と農村人民公社の実態と問題点について理解する。また、社会主義市場経済の概念、２つの移行パターン、体制移行における政府の役割について理解する。
第3回[オンライン/online]：人口変動と労働力
経済発展と人口転換の国際比較、人口ボーナスと経済成長、一人っ子政策の背景と問題点について理解する。また、都市労働市場の失業、農村過剰労働力、ルイスの二重構造モデルと経済転換点にについて理解する。
第4回[オンライン/online]：国家資本主義と開発独裁モデル、対外貿易と外需依存型成長からの転換
国家資本主義、開発独裁モデルについて理解する。また、輸出主導型経済成長、外資の役割、外資導入の国際比較について理解する。
第5回[オンライン/online]：経済成長と格差問題
農村部と都市部の格差、東部・中部と西部の格差の実態および形成要因について理解する。また、所得格差、貧困の実態、貧困削減政策およびその効果について理解する。
第6回[オンライン/online]：財政政策と経済成長、地域振興政策とその影響
地域開発・振興政策実施の背景、政策変遷、およびその効果について理解する。また、地域開発・振興政策実施の背景、政策変遷、およびその効果について理解する。
第7回[オンライン/online]：国有企業改革
計画経済期の国営企業の特徴、国有企業の改革とその問題点について理解する。また、国有企業の内部統治と企業業績、国有企業改革の結果とその問題点について理解する。
第8回[オンライン/online]：世界の工場と産業構造の転換
対中直接投資の原因と構造変化、FDI と中国経済発展について理解する。また、産業政策の改革、産業構造の転換と「中国製造2025」、深センの産業発展を紹介し、産業構造の転換の原因について理解する。
第9回[オンライン/online]：農村改革
農村の土地改革、「家庭生産請負制度」、土地流動化について理解する。農村貧困実態と地域間の差異、農村貧困の原因、および農村貧困対策について理解する。
第10回[オンライン/online]：出稼ぎ就業と農民工、経済発展と教育
経済発展と出稼ぎ就業、中国経済の謎―農民工不足現象、と農民工の就業と生活の実態について理解する。また、教育制度と改革、高等教育拡大政策、大学生就職難問題の原因について理解する。
第11回[オンライン/online]：金融市場および住宅市場の改革
金融市場改革の歴史、、株式市場と国有企業、国有銀行の改革について理解する。また、土地政策と住宅政策の変遷、住宅制度と住宅金融制度の改革、住宅と不動産市場の実態と問題点について理解する。
第12回[オンライン/online]：社会保障政策と労働雇用政策の改革および期末テスト
人口高齢化と社会保障制度の改革、都市部と農村部の社会保障の格差について理解する。また、計画経済期の雇用・賃金政策の特徴、市場経済期の雇用・賃金政策の変遷、賃金格差の実態について理解する。期末テストを行う。
授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
中国経済に関連する他の科目（例えば、開発経済学、マクロ経済学、経済政策論など）を履修していない受講生は、それらの科目に関する教科書あるいは概説書を事前に読んでおくこと。授業で使用する資料を事前に学習支援システムを通じてダウンロードし、各回の授業の流れを理解しておくこと。本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、各４時間を標準とする。
Students who have not taken other courses related to the Chinese economy (e.g., development economics, macroeconomics, economic policy, etc.) should read the textbooks or introductions on those courses in advance. Download the learning materials in advance through the learning support system (Hoppii) and understand the content of each lesson. The standard time for preparation and review for each lesson is 4 hours each.
