Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
This seminar instructs students how to conduct research and write a master’s thesis/research paper. Guidance is given for each stage of research, including literature review, hypothesis development, data collection, hypothesis testing, and interpretation of results. Students complete a master’s thesis/research paper.
(Learning Objectives)
The goals of this seminar are the following.
1. To learn how to conduct literature review
2. To deduce a research question
3. To learn how to develop hypotheses
4. To learn how to design research
5. To learn how to collect data
6. To learn how to analyze data
7. To learn how to draw implications from the results of the analysis
8. To complete a master’s thesis/research paper
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Students are required to conduct literature review, decide a research question, develop hypotheses, design a method to test hypotheses, collect data, analyze data, interpret the results of data analysis, and write a master’s thesis/research paper. These are conducted outside the classroom.
Students are expected to spend at least 2 hours daily on research.

Contribution to the seminar: 50%
Master’s thesis/research paper: 50%
