This is a course for students who already have some speaking ability. It is a practical course in which the sole classroom laThrough this class you, the student , will learn practical English skills.
with the focus on effective communication in real situations you may
encounter in life.

Through this class you, the student , will learn practical English skills.

The objective of the class is to increase your confidence in using English
and to expand the functionality of the language you have learned.
到達目標Goal
The purpose of this class is to give you, the student, confidence through
practice. Part I focuses on grammar and vocabulary and practice in a
business context.
With that in mind by the end of each class you will have put to
use the particular grammar and language you have studied and your
teacher will be able to assess your progress through constant personal
communication.
Your progress will be personally monitored, and you will be given face
to face feedback regularly.
The goal of the course is for you, the student to feel confident in your ability to explain yourself and respond to others in English with confidence, and to be able to present your ideas clearly and correctly.

Using set text and teacher-provided materials as a basis we will build
confidence through practical exercises, using English as it is used in a
Business environment.
Each class includes individual, pair and group work, with the teacher
moving around the class to listen, participate and supervise.
This means that every student is personally in touch with the teacher
in every lesson, and your progress can be encouraged and assessed.

The grammar and vocabulary of sports, entertainment and leisure activities as part of social converation.

Explaining what has gone wrong in the workplace.
The grammar of how things work and how to explain problems.
第5回[対面/face to face]:Problems 2.
Finding solutions and assisting others.
The grammar and vocabulary of giving advice and instructions.
第6回[対面/face to face]:Travel 1.
Getting away, getting back. Transport practicalities.
The grammar and vocabulary of booking and undertaking journies.

What we need to know about foreign travel and how to make the most of the experience.
第8回[対面/face to face]:Presentation Preparation.
Planning a small group presentation for the classroom.
Instruction will be given about best presentation practice and students will form their own groups and decide on topics themselves.

Giving presentations to your peers in the classroom.
Peer assessment will follow each presentation.

What to eat and how from the point of view of the visitor to Japan and the Japanese traveler abroad.
Manners, customs and the grammar and vocabulary of describing food.

Products. How we decide on a product and describe it.
The grammar and vocabulary of descriptions and euphemism.

Strategies for marketing the products we have identified.
Students will prepare a pair presentation of a specific product.

Advertising and Sales plans for the products we have identified.
Presenting the product form the previous class with peer assessment.

Grading process. Self-assessment and small group interviews.
This is a chance for students to assess them selves for the teacher ands for group interviews to discuss achievements and strategies for the future.
授業時間外の学習(準備学習・復習・宿題等)Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
Occasional preparation for presentations. After each lesson there will
be opportunities for personal review and preparation for the following
week’s vocabulary and grammar. 本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、各 2 時
間を標準とします。
