This is a beginners' introduction to Oral communication in English for a Business environment. Students will have writing and reading ability. This course focuses on practical spoken English.
Through this class you, the student , will learn practical English skills. with the focus on effective communication in real situations you may encounter in life.
The objective of the class is to increase your confidence in using English and to expand the functionality of the language you have learned.

ビジネス英語(初級)
This is a beginners' introduction to Oral communication in English for a Business environment. Students will have writing and reading ability. This course focuses on practical spoken English.
Through this class you, the student , will learn practical English skills. with the focus on effective communication in real situations you may encounter in life.
The objective of the class is to increase your confidence in using English and to expand the functionality of the language you have learned.
到達目標Goal
The purpose of this class is to give you, the student, confidence through practice. Part I focuses on grammar and vocabulary and practice in a business context.
With that in mind by the end of each class you will have put to use the particular grammar and language you have studied and your teacher will be able to assess your progress through constant personal communication.
Your progress will be personally monitored, and you will be given face to face feedback regularly.
The goal of the course is for you, the student to feel confident in your ability to explain yourself and respond to others in English with confidence, and to be able to present your ideas clearly and correctly.

Using set text and teacher-provided materials as a basis we will build confidence through practical exercises, using English as it is used in a Business environment.
Each class includes individual, pair and group work, with the teacher moving around the class to listen, participate and supervise.
This means that every student is personally in touch with the teacher in every lesson, and your progress can be encouraged and assessed.

Focusing through the topic on past tenses in English.

Planning your days. What do you do and when?
The grammar of frequency and time.

The workplace; the office, shopfloor and saleroom.
Grammar and vocabulary of specific locations.

The workplace; describing a working environment.
Grammar and vocabulary of daily office activity.
第8回[対面/face to face]:Presentation Preparation
Presentations on business themes. topics, plans and tips on practical presentations.
Students will form small groups and decide on their own chosen topic.
Instructions on the practicalities of group presentation.

Practical presenting in small groups to the rest of the class.
Peer assessment will follow each presentation.

An opportunity to explain Japanese business customs and practices to foreign ausiences.

Practical class on using the telephone in English. Manners and language.
Practice in listening to conversational English and responding clearly.

Situations and practice for speaking in international situations.
Continuing the theme of 12, but in more specific office situations.

The final self-assessment and small group interview as part of the grading process
This is an opportunity for each student to assess their own performance and then discuss the outcomes of the class in small interview groups.

Occasional preparation for presentations. After each lesson there will be opportunities for personal review and preparation for the following week's vocabulary and grammar.本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、各2時間を標準とします。
