Outline (in English)

This course is designed to provide undergraduate freshmen majoring in business administration with an opportunity to learn the essentials of corporate management and the external environment that influences it. It uses a basic and comprehensive textbook commonly assigned to U.S. college freshmen with business majors. Most of the terminology used in business management originates from the U.S., making learning the basics of business administration in English a highly useful endeavor that can be applied to globalized business activities.
Students will be asked to form teams and present the contents of each chapter of the textbook weekly in English. Through active questioning and discussion with other teams and seasoned guidance from the instructor's years of global business experience, students will learn the meaning and real-world application of technical terms essential for modern global business management.
In addition to its other objectives, this program seeks to nurture future Japanese businesspersons equipped with logic and substance who can effectively deliver presentations in English.
