Outline (in English)

This course introduces the basics of corporate finance. Topics include investment projects analysis, capital structure, valuation of the firm, payout policy, M&A decision, financial risk management, international financial management, and corporate governance.

By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
A. understand how the concept of time value of money is applied in financial decisions such as project evaluation.
B. understand the relation between management and investors.
C. understand the difference between financing choices.
D. understand how to estimate the cost of capital.
E. understand how to value the firm.
F understnad how to pay out profits to shareholders.
G. understand how to cope with financial risks.

Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.

Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following.
Term-end examination: 80%, Quizzes : 20%.
