Outline (in English)
The purpose of this seminar is to acquire the knowledge and basic skills necessary for studying in the Faculty of Economics. Students learn techniques to convey and communicate their ideas through reading materials, writing reports and dissertations, reading in a circle, and presenting research.
Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.):
The standard time for preparation and review for this class is two hours each. Understand economic trends and trends in social issues of interest from newspapers, television, the Internet, etc.
Grading criteria:
“Normal score 50% (contribution in lecture)” + “contribution in circular reading, questions and discussions 50% ”

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
経済学部で学んでいくために必要な知識や基礎的な素養を身につけることが目的である。資料の探し方，レポートや論文の書き方のほか，輪読や研究発表などを通じて，自分の考えを持ち，伝える技術を学ぶ。
到達目標Goal
様々なことに疑問を持ち，自ら調べ，自分の答えを見つけ，伝える能力を身に付けることが到達目標である。本・雑誌・新聞・インターネットなど様々な情報がある中で，多様な情報収集の方法を活用できる，得られた情報をバランスよく理解する，ルールに基づいて発表・討論する能力を身に付ける。

対面講義で進める。当初，大学における学問の考え方，輪読の方法，調査・研究方法，レポート・論文作成，経済学入門に関しての講義を行う。その後，指定した文献（飯田泰之，『経済学講義』，ちくま新書，2017年）の輪読，報告，ディスカッションを行う。

本授業の準備学習・復習時間は各2 時間を標準とする。新聞・テレビ・インターネットなどから，経済の動向や関心のある社会問題の動向を理解しておくこと。
