Outline (in English)
【Course outline】
It is self-evident that Spanish is indispensable in order to understand today’s world. However, one could say that still for many Japanese people Spanish-speaking world’s affairs are not familiar enough, and thus many of the possibilities hidden behind it remain unknown.
In order to fulfil this gap, this class aims not only to steadily acquire a pre-intermediate knowledge of Spanish, but also to make a chance to have interest in the Spanish-speaking societies and cultures.
In this class, not only will grammar be adequately and easily explained, but also vocabulary used in everyday life will be extensively provided. As for class tasks, the professor will not decide their content unilaterally; instead, students will have plenty of flexibility to choose them based in their personal needs and interests.
Grading criteria prioritizes student’s continuous effort and ambition to learn, so self-study and class attitude will be highly considered.
【Learning Objectives】
1. Acquire a pre-intermediate knowledge of Spanish language (CEFR A1 level).
2. Find motivation so as to continue having interest in Spanish and the Spanish-speaking world’s society and culture and society.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
It is necessary at least 60 and 180 minutes for preparing and reviewing each class, respectively. However, it is very important to pay heed not only to the “amount” of time, but also to its “quality”. For example, it is essential to avoid distractions and factors that may cause procrastination.
【Grading Criteria / Policy】
1. Minitests (40%)
2. Self-study file (40%)
2. Class presentation (30%)
100 being the best possible grade, it is necessary to reach at least 60 to pass the course.

Outline and objectives
Goal
Which item of the diploma policy will be obtained by taking this class?
