Outline (in English)
The objectives of this course are to enhance students' reading comprehension skills through the analysis of authentic texts, expand their vocabulary range and depth in English, foster critical thinking and analytical skills through discussions and written responses, strengthen writing proficiency by composing summaries and reflections, promote cultural awareness and understanding by exploring diverse themes, develop overall language proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, make interdisciplinary connections through the exploration of themes, and encourage autonomy and self-directed learning. Through these objectives, students will engage in meaningful language learning experiences that prepare them for academic and real-life communication purposes.

このコースの目的は、本物のテキストの分析を通じて学生の読解力を向上させ、英語の語彙範囲と深みを拡大し、ディスカッションや筆記回答を通じて批判的思考力と分析力を養い、要約や考察を作成することで文章力を強化することです。多様なテーマを探究することで文化的認識と理解を促進し、聞く、話す、読む、書くという総合的な言語能力を開発し、テーマの探求を通じて学際的なつながりを作り、自主性と自発的な学習を奨励します。これらの目標を通じて、学生は学術的および実生活のコミュニケーション目的に備えた有意義な言語学習体験に取り組みます。

Interactive Reading: Students will engage in group reading sessions where students read aloud, discuss story elements, and answer comprehension questions.
Vocabulary Building Activities: Students will participate in vocabulary games, context clue exercises, and quizzes to learn new words and phrases.
Discussion Groups: Students will take part in small group discussions to share thoughts and opinions on stories, themes, and characters.
Cultural Exploration: Students will explore different cultures through research projects, presentations, and multimedia resources to gain insight into cultural contexts.
Language Practice: Students will practice speaking and listening skills through activities such as role-plays, debates, and oral presentations.
Feedback and Assessment: Students will receive regular feedback on progress and understanding through quizzes, assignments, and self-assessment activities. This promotes continuous improvement and reflection on learning.
