Outline (in English)
【Outline 】
What comes to mind when you hear the word "finance"? For example, you may think of things like your regular savings account, credit cards, and electronic money stored on your smartphone. Some of you might also be utilizing systems such as student loans or scholarships to attend university. Furthermore, there may be individuals interested in things like stocks, bonds, real estate, or cryptocurrencies. All of these are referred to as financial products. The industry that provides these is called the financial industry, which includes banks, securities firms, insurance companies, credit card companies, and so on. What is the essence that these all share under the umbrella of "finance"? In this course, using information and materials related to finance provided in English, we aim to acquire knowledge about what finance is, how it relates to all of us, and how to make smart purchases and use financial products as consumers. Additionally, we aim to develop the ability to understand finance in English and convey financial concepts in English. In the continuing course from the spring semester, the aim is primarily to acquire foundational knowledge to become a savvy consumer of financial products.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
皆さんは「金融」という言葉を聞いて何を思い浮かべますか？例えば皆さんの持っている普通預金、クレジットカード、そしてスマホに入っている電子マネー。また学生ローンや奨学金といった制度を利用して大学に通っている人もいるかと思います。さらには株式、債券、不動産、仮想通貨などというものに興味を持っている人もいるでしょう。これらはすべて金融商品と呼ばれるものです。これらを提供する業界を金融業界といいますが、その中には銀行、証券会社、保険会社、クレジットカード会社などがあります。これらに共通する「金融」のエッセンスはなんなのでしょうか？この講座では、英語で提供されている金融に関わる情報・資料を教材として、金融とは何か、金融と皆さんはどう関わっているのか、そして金融商品という商品を消費者として購入する際に、賢い買い方・使い方をするために身につけておくべき知識の獲得を目指します。併せて、英語で金融を理解する、英語で金融概念を伝える力をつけることをも目指します。春学期からの継続授業で、主に賢い金融商品の消費者になるための基礎知識の習得を目指します。

事前に配布、指示する教材には目を通し、内容把握に努めること。事前に理解できたこと、理解できなかったことを整理して授業に臨むよう努めること。授業後に毎回出される「振返りシート（リアクションペーパー）」を提出し学習の振返りを励行すると共に、授業に対する要望事項、理解できなかった点を積極的に提出すること。（評価に反映します）
Beforehand, make sure to review and understand the materials distributed or instructed. Make an effort to organize what you understood and what you didn't before attending the class. Submit the "reflection sheet (reaction paper)" issued after each class to reflect on your learning, and actively submit requests or points you didn't understand regarding the class. (This will be reflected in the evaluation.)

・振返りシートは各授業後に提出すること。
・事前に指定された教科書の箇所や映像等は授業に臨む前に確実に読む・観ること。
・授業ではZoomを使用し録画を行い、オンライン教材を使用するので、授業には毎回必ずPC（またはタブレット端末）とイヤホンを持参すること。
（スマホでの受講は積極的には勧めない）
・クラス内での連絡、課題の指示提出などにGoogle Classroomを使うので、「本人名義」のGoogleアカウント(Gmailアドレス）を準備しておくこと。 （従来から使っているものでも構わないが、その際は、本人であると識別できるアカウント名を使用していること）

・Ensure to read or watch designated sections of the material or videos before attending the class.
・As Zoom will be used for classes with recordings and online materials, it is recommended to bring a PC (or tablet device) and headphones to every class. (Active participation via smartphone is not recommended.)
・Google Classroom will be used for communication within the class, assignment instructions, etc., so prepare a Google account (Gmail address) under the "individual's name." (It's acceptable to use an existing account, but ensure that it uses a name that can be identified as the individual.)
