Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The issues of language and education and language and inequality in multilingual and migrant societies will be the subject of discussion and debate.

【Learning Objectives】
-Students will understand that there are various forms of societies in which more than one language is used.
-Students will develop a systematic understanding of language-related policies.
-Students will develop an understanding of the different forms of multilingual societies, particularly in relation to language, education and social inequalities.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend 2 hours to understand the course content.

Final report 50%
Active participation 50%
