Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
In the practice of civil litigation, it is essential to investigate judicial precedents and to have the ability to correctly grasp factual relations, issues, conclusions, reasons, and range of judgment.
Therefore, in this lesson, through the analysis of important cases, we aim to acquire how to read judicial precedents and deepen our legal thinking ability.
Furthermore, through the submission of report tasks, we aim to acquire the basic demonstration ability as a lawyer.
【Learning Objectives】
The goals of this course are to improvement of the ability for solutions to the problem by learning a precedent, understanding the range of the precedent.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant chapter(s) from the text. Your required study time is at least two hours for each class meeting.
【Grading Criteria /Policies】
Grading will be based on 20% for statements made in the exercises, 20% for evaluation of drafts made in the exercises, and 60% for evaluation in the final examination.
