Outline (in English)
Course outline: The main objective of this course is to learn finance and the financial theory. This year, we will read Brealey, Myers, Allen, and Edmans Principles of Corporate Finance (McGraw Hill).
Learning objectives: In this course, students will learn the following six points.
(1) Net present value
(2) CAPM and cost of capital
(3) Dividend policy
(4) Capital structure policy
(5) Agency problems
(6) Mergers
Learning activities outside of classroom: All students are expected to prepare the summary of an assigned part of the textbook. I expect that it will take about four hours to prepare the summary.
Grading criteria/policy: Grading will be based on presentations and discussions in class, as well as a quiz at the end of the semester. 70% of the grade will be based on class presentations and discussions, and 30% on the quiz.

この授業の目的は、企業財務上の重要な事項について知見を学ぶことにある。本年度は， Brealey, Myers, Allen, and Edmans Principles of Corporate Finance (McGraw Hill)を輪読する。
到達目標Goal
本科目においては，次の4点を学ぶ。
（１）正味現在価値法を理解して利用できる。
（２）CAPMを理解して資本コストを計算できる。
（３）配当政策に関する基本的な論点を理解する。
（４）資本政策に関する基本的な論点を理解する。
（５）エイジェンシー問題に関する基本的な論点を理解する。
（６）企業買収に関する基本的な論点を理解する。

基本的には、教科書の指定箇所を輪読した後，ディスカッションを行うという形式で授業を進める。ただし、理解が難しい部分や、教科書が十分説明していない部分については、講師が講義したり，追加的な資料を提供したりする。 また，教科書には原書を使うので，英文をある程度の速さで読める学力が必要である。

成績評価の方法と基準Grading criteria
成績評価は、授業中の発表とディスカッションの内容，さらに，期末に実施する小テストに基づく。評価における各要素への配分は，授業中の発表とディスカッションが70%，小テストが30%。

「ファイナンス入門」，「基礎ファイナンス」の履修が望ましい。また，ファイナンス，あるいは，ファイナンスに近い分野で修士論文を書く計画を立てている履修者は，「実証ファイナンス」を履修することが必須である。
