Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
Understand the recent debate on the relationship between management control systems and intangibles in the field of management accounting. Clarify how management control systems measure and manage intangibles such as customer capital and human capital.

(Learning objectives)
Critically review and organize recent discussions on the impact of management control systems on the measurement and management of intangibles such as customer and human capital. The student will also be able to acquire and understand the concepts and analytical methods of management accounting and related fields that are necessary for this purpose.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
The standard amount of time for pre- and post-activity for this class is 2 hours each. Students are required to read the assigned papers in advance and attend the class. At that time, they should organize the contributions of the paper, its limitations, and methodological issues.

(Grading criteria)
The evaluation will be based on the content of the part to be reported in the lecture (30 points), your participation in the discussion during the lecture (20 points), and the content of the final report (50 points). Active participation in the discussion during the lecture will be evaluated.
