【Course outline】
Learn the characteristics of Public library materials.
【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
①Explain the characteristics of materials in public libraries．
②Understand how to collect and manage library materials．
③Understand the trends of library materials in the world of libraries．
④Understand and explain related terms, laws and declarations．
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours. Depending on the content of the lecture, we will instruct you to investigate terms and matters in advance. Use textbooks, and reference books for preparatory learning. Also, in the review, try to organize your knowledge so that you can explain the important matters of the lesson contents by yourself.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following.
Final report:60%、Short reports:20%、in class contribution:20%

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
図書館資料について、公立図書館で重視される逐次刊行物、政府刊行物、地域資料を中心に学習します。また資料の収集・提供に関する諸問題について検討します。
到達目標Goal
①公共図書館における資料の特徴を説明できる
②各種資料の収集、運用方法を説明できる
③現在の図書館界における資料組織の動向を理解できる
④関連する用語や法令、宣言などを理解し説明できる

授業形態は講義形式である。なお適宜、受講生との討論も行う。学習支援システムhoppiiを活用してレポートの提出、フィードバックを行う。また授業資料もhoppiiで配信する。

図書館資料の意義を再び考える
授業時間外の学習（準備学習・復習・宿題等）Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
本授業の準備・復習時間は各２時間を標準とします。講義内容に応じて、事前に用語や事項の調査を指示します。参考図書や実際の図書館を利用して準備学習をしましょう。また復習では、授業内容の重要事項を自分で説明できるように知識の整理を心がけてましょう。

平常点20％、小レポート20%，最終レポート60%として，以下の点を評価します。
