Outline (in English)

The course covers introduction of ubiquitous computing, smart IoT and wearable technologies, and basic Android programming. Students are expected to acquire the basic knowledge about sensors embedded in a smartphone and related APP programming skills. Students will make presentations about some latest wearable technology in class. As home work, students will complete requested programming reports, search for various wearable devices, and prepare presentation PPTs. Before and after each class, students will spend at least one hour on reviewing content and completing assignment according to the grading policy. Overall evaluation will be based on the quality of class performance (10%), reports (30%), presentations (30%) and programming completeness (30%).
