Outline (in English)

The purpose of this course is to understanding of garbage issue in the aerospace field from the perspective of materials. The first half of the course deals with the problem of garbage in the aerospace field, and the second half covers the fundamentals of impact engineering.
The goals of this course are followings: 1) understanding garbage issue in the aerospace field; 2) understanding Rankine-Hugoniot relations.
Before/after each class meeting, student will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the term-end examination (40%), report (40%), and in-class contributions (20%). Depending on COVID-19 situations, the term-end examination can change to the term-end report.
