Outline (in English)
By the end of this course, students will develop listening ability in English as well as increasing their TOEIC score. In addition to TOEIC test taking skills, students will increase their knowledge in vocabulary, grammar, and expressions, which enable them to have better skills of listening comprehension in English
[Learning Activities outside of classroom]
Students are expected to complete required assignments after each class. It will take at least one hour to complete each assignment.

The final grade will be decided based on the following:
Listening Test 1 (20%), Listening Test 2 (20%), Homework (20%), TED Talk Task (20 %), In-class Participation/effort (20 %)

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
本授業は、受講生がTOEICテストの点数を上げることを目標にしつつ、英語のリスニング力を向上させることを目的としています。TOEICの試験対策のためのテクニックを習熟すると共に、語彙力や表現力を強化することにより英語のリスニング力の底上げを目指します。
到達目標Goal
TOEICテストの50-100点のスコアをアップを目指し、学生はTOEICの出題形式に慣れることにより、スコアアップの対策ができるようになります。さらに、TED Talk等の様々な内容の英語を聞き、理解することによってリスニング力や表現力が向上し、基本となる英語力（語彙力、文法力、読解力、リスニング力）を上達させることができます。簡単な会話やスピーチを理解し、相手が理解できるように伝えることができるようになります。

この授業では特にリスニング力を向上させることに焦点を当てつつ、TOEICのスコアアップを目指します。TOEICの出題形式に慣れ、TOEIC試験対策のテキストを学ぶことにより語彙力、文法力、読解力を向上させます。TED Talkを視聴し、課題を行うことにより様々な内容の英語を聞き、リスニング力の向上につなげます。さらに、TOEICのリスニングパートなどを聞き、発話することでリスニング力を向上させ、簡単なスピーチや会話を理解し伝える力をつけていきます。様々な課題やテストにおいて、随時フィードバックを行います。
